ChiTransit: CTA Bus and Train Tracker for Chicago App Reviews

I just wish the train and bus stops were in the order of the route instead of alphabetical. That would be extremely helpful. Also, the Jackson Red Line stop doesnt exist?

I love the app, but I wish it had the ability to show all upcoming trains at one stop (regardless of color). I wanna be able to click Belmont and see the timings for red brown and purple lines all at once. Thanks.

Pretty accurate ETAs considering its the CTA.

I see buses at the stop every 5 min (Grand & McClurg), but the app continually tells me there are no buses coming soon.

We relocated to the city this summer and this app has been invaluable to getting around and knowing when to find trains and buses

the problem i found with this device is that it dose not tell u were to go, yes it gives u bus routes and times but what do you do with all that information if it dosent tell you where the buss travales threw

CTAs app is almost perfect in its tracking trains and buses. On rare occasions, it misses a bus; I think the transponder in the bus might be out of order. This app is the best way to predict your wait time at a transit stop.

The app is very accurate. I like that it has the GPS function that let me know exactly where my bus is. The times are extremely accurate, Id say. Im very happy with the app. However, Id love if the app would have some sort of notification that you can program to let you know when your bus will arrive, lets say, 10 minutes before it arrives to a certain bus stop. Also, the app icon looks weird in my phone. Ive tried to delete it and download it again, but it wont seem to correct the problem. Update? Bug improvements?

This app worked great – when it worked, which was almost never. In theory it does exactly what I need – sense where you are and help you figure out which buses come to where you are, and how far away those buses happened to be. Unfortunately for almost every bus route I tried to look at, the app would say "sorry an error has occurred" and has no data. It only seem to work for the 66 bus route. For that route, it gave good accurate predictions of when the bus would arrive. But as a way to find routes, or to look at arrival times of other routes, it was completely worthless. Either the source of the data, or the way this app connects to that source, is not working. This went on for 3–4 weeks before I wrote this review… So it also doesnt seem to be very well-supported.
